Sur l’île d’Hokkaido, l’hiver est la saison du hockey pour les garçons. Takuya, lui, est davantage subjugué par Sakura, tout juste arrivée de Tokyo, qui répète des enchaînements de patinage artistique. Il tente maladroitement de l’imiter si bien que le coach de Sakura, touché par ses efforts, décide de les entrainer en duo en vue d’une compétition prochaine… À mesure que l’hiver avance, une harmonie s’installe entre eux malgré leurs différences. Mais les premières neiges fondent et le printemps arrive, inéluctable.
