Réunis dans un château en Allemagne pour leur sommet annuel, les dirigeants des pays du G7 (France, États-Unis, Royaume-Uni, Allemagne, Italie, Japon, Canada) s'installent dans un gazebo en bordure d'une forêt. Tandis qu'ils préparent la déclaration préliminaire censée orienter les discussions durant le sommet, les chefs d'États constatent que le personnel qui les entouraient a disparu, puis qu'ils n'ont pas de signal sur leur téléphone cellulaire. En voulant rentrer au château, les sept politiciens s'enfoncent plus avant dans une forêt qui s'avère pleine de périls, tout en continuant à réfléchir au texte de la déclaration préliminaire.
